Got these things - apparently somene on the web has had success using them with the Denon DL103. Don't know what I'll use them with just yet...

Much gratitude to Sreten for pointing these out. Other sellers have been asking a lot more money for them, and I was able to snap them up for beer change (a case or two, depending on your poison). I'll be comparing them to some Jensen microphone input XFMRs once I get a cartridge to drive them.

I seem to be on a roll - I just picked up a McMartin studio amp with a pair of microphone XFMRs. The price was a steal even if I intended only to gut the thing for its chassis and transformers - I may do just that, as I suspect the amp itself is nothing really noteworthy. The discrete transistors are all socketed, except for a pair of Delco TO-3 transistors (probably germanium) that are mounted to the chassis.

It looks like you used relay sockets for your XFMRs. a better choice might be a pair of the better gold-plated octal sockets. Low. low level signals deserve good contact material.

Having said that, the seegar box looks nice - maybe a reason to check out the local tobacco pushers.
