The diy Audio search engine is quite good now, and well worth trying ;)

YES!
TubeCAD and SE Ampcad are well worth the money, especially for the circuits that are harder to calculate "in your head" like cascodes. Good to double check things and rough in a design before you build it. Accuracy seems pretty good.
