Well I have been looking for more power and have decided to part ways with my VTL MB-125 monos.
Looking at the Odyssey monos

with the right speakers an MB-125 would be VERY powerful.
What speakers are you using? You might want to look into getting more sensitive speakers. Every 3dB increase in speaker sensitivity is the same as doubling the amp's power.

Those are "high 80's" sensitivity. Should work well in a home environment with a 100WPC tube amp. With solid state amp you might need more. Heck that combo would even work in a small venue as a sound reenforcement PA

I happen to have a 105 dB speaker and a 5W tube amp. It works out I get the same sound volume and dynamic range as your 89 dB speaker driven with 100W

Are you using it in triode mode?

I used them in both modes. Triode sounded very nice with some Dusty Springfield spinning. Tetrode with Dire Straits. Don't get me wrong. They are awesome amplifiers. The best I have had to date.
I have been reading a lot about the Odyssys and have an opertunity to give them a try. I hope I don't regret it.
