This has me scratching both head and back side at the same time.
Triode strapped both the anode current and screen current sum and act in parallel. As you say they remain proportionate to each other over the range of values. If the valve is connected as a pentode with a constant voltage on the screen and changing anode voltage, from the load point of view, I do not see anode and screen currents summing or remaining protonate to each other over the range of values.
We often place a CCS at the plate of a triode for parameter restriction including a more constant Mu and reduced distortion. When we do this to a pentode screen we disconnect the summation and proportionate performance of a triode strapped pentode.
If we plot Mu vs Anode Current what do we get;
Triode curves, likely not?
Pentode curves, more likely to look like this?
Tetrode curves, with a funny bump?
Some new kind of Ultra-Linear curves with an odd new flavor series of harmonics?
