Will make it switchable for AB testing, prefer triode myself on my other amps.
Should be here early next week.

Straight into the rack and fired up first time.
Build quality is very good, all valves on a sub assembly.
Sounds great thru my TQWPs, plenty of bass and sounds better than my EL34 PP.
First mod will be triode strapped.

It resembles my Pyramid, simplified. Even MLT resistors used.

Ok running in triode mode now and sounds really good.
Will let it run in for a while, may rewire the heaters for 6CG7s and 6N2P later and see how that sounds. Really like the sound of them compared to the 12a family.
Currently using a Tungsol 12 AX7 and 5963s

What is wrong with sand?

I use even more of sand, to stabilize voltages.

Very well made amp.
A lot of Chinese amps claim Point to point wiring. but when you get them they are PCb's
What is the make?
Did you buy on Ebay?
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil
Bought it direct from there website
very good communication and quick delivery from China to Oz via DHL.
I am impressed by the build quality and the sound and very tweakable!
