Default Winter upgrade project - new heating unit

audio room has 10" concrete walls and a poured slab as a floor. even with a raised floor insulated with foam and all walls insulated with foam....still gets cold. this should help. 48 6550 tubes.

woltan 1250 tube amp. built in 1998. at the time, the largest production tube amp. 1200 watts per channel. 30amps draw at full power. 9 amps draw at idle.

Should keep you quite warm.. The really big VTL amps don't seem to like a lot of stuff below 10Hz or so, so make sure if playing vinyl there is not a lot of subsonic energy in the output of your pre-amplifier.

What sort of speakers are you driving with these? Seems like an old pair of Apogee Divas or Grands would be just the ticket with this kind of power.

My speaker portfolio is pretty limited...don't think I have the ideal speakers for these...so some buying and selling will probably happen.

Think really big and power hungry.. Check out the larger VMPS systems as well the Infinity Reference series.. Should be a lot of fun..
