It makes a cool instrument / studio preamp, or in pairs for hi fi. The ones with the big VU meters especially.
The tubes sound great but replacements are harder to find. Capacitors go bad with age.
But there is a bunch of capacitors to replace and tubes, parts, the grounded power cord, and all that stuff that adds up to a lot of time and money.
So it is a question of devotion.
