Mikael Abdellah KT88 SE with Cornet2

Hello All,

I am going to be building the Mikael Abdellah SE KT88 amp soon. I plan to use the octal 6sn7 in place of the 6n1p, this will lower the gain. I also plan to build a octal cornet phono amp after (can you tell I have a fondness for octal tubes). My question, will there be enough gain with just the Cornet into the SE KT88 or would i need to have a preamp between the two? I would like to avoid a third piece of hardware but if need be, what would be a good DIY option for this?

Also, in the time between the completion of the KT88 amp and the start of the cornet, i would like to run a budget SS phono amp into the KT88 amp, any suggestions?
