Sylvania 45C14M progress.
i am almost finished with it
I have a question though. on the photo facts manual it says the speaker impedance for one channel is 3-4 ohms and the other channel is 6-8 ohms, would it be safe to run a 4 ohm speaker in the 6-8 ohm channel if i don't max out the volume? I remember reading that tube amps are more resilient with mismatched impedance
also for the life of me i cannot locate a replacement volume/loudness pot. I cleaned it out with deoxit but it still has dead spots and is very scratchy. does anyone know where i can find one?
I would really appreciate help locating a pot
It's not likely that you will find a replacement pot for your amplifier.
2.2megs with a loudness tap at 650k is not a standard pot value.
Potentiometers with loudness taps haven't been manufactured for many years.
