Default help with amp ohms

hey guys
i am new to forum i just have a quick question about what will happen to load on my amp which is a yaqin ms20l. i currently have a pair of altec m19s hooked up to it but wanted a little more lows so i ordered a bic f1 sub which should be here thurs. it has speaker level inputs and shows that you run wire from amp to sub and then there is a speaker out that goes to main speaker. i dont want to go that way i want my m19s to get all the signal so i am thinking about just running wire to my speaker and then to sub which has its own amp will this drop ohms load on the yaqin from 8 down to 4? any info would help thanks dennis

Hi!

If this is an active sub it most likely has a high impedance input which will not affect the loading of your amp. But check teh datasheet of your sub to verify

Hi madman366,

Take a look at the back of your amp. or have a look at the attached photo of your amp's rear.
Doesn't seem to be a problem with 4-Ohm.

I would be more concerned with your keyboard that seems to have dropped CAPITAL letters....

rgds,
