First off I will start by saying I currently have and Aikido that I am VERY happy with.
I am young enough to have never seen tube equipment on the sales shelf.

I have already ordered a DIY Audio Pass F5 PCB pair.
Now that I am looking into it the heatsinks I will need they are going to be well into $100 including shipping.
My original plan was to build a MOSKido.
Now I am thinking about building a GU50 PP, the funny thing is the OPT's will run about $185 +S&H.

I have no problem building either one but the GU50 PP will be a LOT more compact than the F5.

I'm looking for help weighing the pros and cons here.

Thanks

The F5 is an excellent neutral sounding amplifier which delivers fantastically details sound without a hint of harshness. I would build that if you are having qualms about the price of OT's.
You should be able to get some nice salvaged heatsinks for a fraction of the price you were quoted.
