Both boards have been stuffed, and tested. They work to my satisfaction.
I have learned from this effort. I replaced some caps as was suggested.
Next project is to build a stereo version of the RH-84 power amp to run
the pre-amp into. I have a PC board for that project also.
Thanks to all who helped.

Very Cool.. At some point in the future have a look at replacing those ceramic caps with polystyrenes - they should be significantly less microphonic as well as generating less distortion.

Excellent work Bruce. If you have a residual hum at loud volumes you can shield it with a metal box. Poly caps in the RIAA will make it sound really great too of course.

look good. Some grommets where the wires pass in to the chassis will protect them . This is great for a first try at a phono section . Regards

Question tweaked RCA setup

Hi, Eli
Thanks for sharing!
Here are 3 ground symbols drawn, I hope only one is chassis connected?
What reason is to increase caps values (from 20uF to 30uF)?

+ And why at output two capacitors (0.47 + 5uF) are used? One is ever better (for sound) as two in parallel...

And another little question.
Are 39K and 15K for both channels or only for one?
(the same question about 30uF caps)

I am seriously thinking of making one, I have the original manual RCA and all contributions are most useful

My congratulations also never too late!
