Old HP power transformers... need some wiring advice!

Not sure if I'm making a double post now... but here goes:

I managed to salvage some PAECO power transformers from old HP voltage meters. I believe they all come from model 400D from the early 60's. Seems to be high quality ones - shielded and everything.

The thing is I'm not quite sure how to wire them for 230VAC. There are two 115V windings and instructions in the schematic (bottom of the PDF: http://www.mcmlv.org/Archive/TestEquipment/HP400.pdf). Pin 4+6? Or join 4+6 and then connect mains to 2 & 8? I have to admit I'm a little confused :)

Thanks!
