Default EZ80 Data Sheets, R-Lim and Max Cap

Looking at data sheets for EZ80 (and EZ81) there are mentions of the tube needing a certain amount total of resistance on the anode, made up the transformer's resistance, plus addition of "limiting" resistors id needed. Is this needed only for capacitor input, not choke input supplies? That's the impression I got. Also is the max capacitance listed only for cap input supplies, that does not apply to C1 in a L1C1-L2C2 supply, is that correct also?

Both yes. But have in mind that some part of this resistance is actually the xformer reactance (leakage plus primary resistances/inductances reflected into th primary, so teh effective resistance may be less than needed.
