Default Demagnetizing OPT?

Hi,
I was reading in this paper That silicon steel is susceptible to polarization if subjected to a low frequency signal approaching saturation. I was wondering, can an PP OPT be polarized by a continual inequality from the power tubes being unbalanced? The author mentions methods of core demagnetization...is this something any of you bother with in old OPT's before re-use?

ERR NO..LOL

As soon as you put an alternating current through you are demaging it anyway..The other thing is this idea can be cumulative so are you going to demag every so many hours of use? If you have to do this there is something wrong..

One thing I would add is that this idea is similar to tape heads..and yes sometimes you can get improved high freq response with a demag of the head..However if the core fixed magnetizes its not going to be much good anyway is it..
