I'm starting to learn something about tubes. Planning to build some very basic amp in the next future. I can have for 40 euros this old Grundig reel to reel: do you think that I could recicle the internal amplifier or some useful parts?

Absolutely.

It even appears to be Stereo. If not there is still some decent tubes in there. ie: 12AX7s etc.

If the ELL80 output tube is ok, you might have a bargain. If not; you'd better forget about it.

What about output transformers? Are they useful for same little first project (i.e. with pcl86 or even el34)?

Perhaps they are. But € 40 for just a power tranny plus two output trannys in the 2-3 watts region seems a little bit too much ;-).

And forget about EL34's with theses transformers...

I believe that three new transformers cost more than 40 euros.
If you believe that these output transformers can be used with two pcl86 maybe I could take them to try the simple "Insulto finale" amp.

One ELL80 is two EL95 in one envelope. An EL95 is quite a low power output valve, so a transformer designed for it might not work too well with a PCL86.

You don't really think that the output trannys in this TK 45 are good ones, do you?
