Hi All,
I'm having an issue with a Quad 22. To properly balance the output, the balance control is almost all the way CCW. I had to replace a resistor a few weeks ago (R32 burnt) and have since had this change in balance. It has also made the tone circuit do strange things when used, for instance the filter knob tends to accentuate the imbalance and the filter level doesn't seem as effective. I have replaced several caps (C 3,4,8,9 and triple can) and resistors (R12 and 13) which were out, also swapped all valves but the balance / filter problem remains. Unfortunately, not having an electronics background, I don't feel competent in metering live circuits so it may have to go for repair unless anyone has some suggestions as to what might be causing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated Chris Last edited by starks; 8th February 2012 at 03:32 PM. Reason: Additional information |
