My friend built this amp for me. It sounds quite nice though the gain is really low. Strange that I don't see any coupling caps. I asked him why and he just smile. Critics/suggestion are needed ;)

I want to build one just like it! Tho I am no expert, changing the plate resistor will allow more voltage swing (gain). I would think 100k would be good place to start and you could go higher but I have no experience with a 6j4.

If you put a 1 meg grid resistor instead of the 47k in there too, you could probably have a very sweet sounding guitar amp...
