Can anyone point to any early amps with a similar PP driver configuration between the PI stage and the cathode-biased PP output stage, as shown in the attached instrument amp (Selmer organ 1957). I've only seen push-pull drivers without local feedback (eg. around the 6SN7 V13). Maybe they were just being pedantic about low distortion.
