Default pcl86=14gw8 ??

hi
I m looking for the heaters voltage on my pp project
with baby huey feedback my tubes are 14gw8 the
pcl86 data sheet give me 13.3v 300ma but why the
number 14 ? on my 14gw8.

There is a good deal less consistency regarding the typing system than you'd guess. They can't decide whether to round up, or use the whole number part of the various heater voltages. They may even have decided to call it a "14GW8" instead of a "13GW8" for the same reason many buildings don't have a 13th floor: 13 is an "unlucky" number.

bear in mind its a series heater tube, so the only number you should be worried about is the 300mA one...
