Default These amps should be verboten!

They use up half the world's tube supplies in each amp!

I say good! Load them up with Chinese junk tubes to get rid of them. But unfortunately they have an endless supply.

that is indeed slightly *&*&*^*& to say the least WHY . has the muscle car mentality got to us to ? what happened to small and elegant >? a typical op amplifier line stage will outdo that in every way whit 1-2% of power consumed

geez .. WHY burn up all the nice stuff at once ?
