Need some transformer knowledge/experience here.
After a lot of reading I was thinking to get the extra Iron of the 6.4kg M6 Sowter SA08 SINGLE ENDED OUTPUT TRANSFORMER Checking the C-core Lundahls it seems to be the better concept http://www.lundahl.se/pdfs/datash/1620_3_7_9202.pdf However..."only" 2,5kg. Does the sowter have to compensate the different EI concept with 4kg??? Any experience on the different brands? Or even these specific types ...performance in LF 10..20Hz....XX Watt? Sowters look better on top of the housing (with electronics inside) whereas the lundahls do not look nice....but this aspect should be minor in the decision. Thanks, Arno Last edited by Arno Pf; 19th November 2011 at 10:08 AM. |

Also note, these transformers are tested at 2500V, so you can experiment with higher voltage DHTs in future. |
