Vintage Stromberg Carlson
I found what appears to be a vintage Stromberg Carlson PA. It has an input on the front for a mic. I have no idea what this is, i cannot find another picture of one like it anywhere on the web. There is a date on the front of the unit, 1945. I'm afraid to plug it in as I don't if i will damage it. It appears to be all there.
I cannot find a model number, other than the "Code 30" stamped on the front. Also in the box were six acrosound transformers...I found these on ebay. any info will be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Wow!
Very nice transformers ... I am jealous ...  You should replace those big antique cardboard filter capacitors before trying to plug it in, they really look out of date, the best is replacing all electrolytic capacitors ... Also, you should verify the internal wiring condition, dry wire insulation can cause short circuits ... Alain.

Is it just me or do the rearmost tubes (5U4's?) look like they've gone to air, or is just dust?
