Lightbulb Just for fun power poll!

Here is an idea just for fun.

How many watts does you amp take from the mains supply at idle?
(no music).

It's easy measure the AC current x by the AC voltage.

List type of amp PPP, SE, etc and tube type.

It's easy to do...without stripping the amp!

Regards
M. Gregg

Just to give an idea,

I have a very small SEP 2 x EL34 1 x ecc83

Current is .315A x 245V = 77W

The above are genuine values, just for fun how many of us actually know?

Regards
M. Gregg

My ST-70 says 175W,IIRC.
My smaller PP 6V6 Amp,I'm not sure,I've never measured it. But,the primary of the power trans is rated 0.92A @ 117V,which would be ~107W (max),if my line were 117V.

My 6AS7 gives me about 2x8watts for sound, and about 80watts of heat, for a total just under 100watts

It would be interesting to know the less than 50W that have been voted,

My pre draws 35W and its only 4 x ECC88.
