Not sure I agree. Walk into a bar and order a beer, something ordinary. Drink the beer and then the barman tells you it's $50 for your beer. "That's our price, sir." Caveat Emptor? Would you pay?

Drink and Dash, probably. But it's my fault for not asking first.

Or go back and politely ask the name of the owner and manager of the shop. Then casually mention you need them for the charges of fraud you will be filing with the authorities.

Unfortunately I doubt the folks in Pennsylvaia will have much clout in Australia.

It's the folks in PA I'm dealing with.
Ultimately it is my fault for not getting a quote first. I did originally get a shipping estimate of $400 that turned into $750 so it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway.
I had read a lot about how nice a guy Mark is. He is nice on the phone, just a Rogue to do business with.
The amps are still there as I can't cover it all at the moment.

How does the better business bureau work?

just out of interest, why didn't you have it done locally?

I wanted it shipped from them as they would have packed it properly. I could have done it myself

IF they havent sent it yet--Cancel the order get refunded and go find a different amp....

Rip-off is still a rip-off no matter what the perceived quality of it!
