Hi guys :)

I have a secondary of about 440v and after full bridge rectification just a pair of Mundoff M-lytic HV caps effective 400uf/500v each that are rated for only 550v surge, would one of these Hyperx modules SOFTSTART - Hypex inrush current limiter - Europe Audio lower the potential 616v in-rush to something that these caps will be OK with?

I'm trying to avoid the extra caps in series, to avoid the lower capacity and higher ripple.

Or do I have no other option other than extra caps in series?
