Default Eagle PCB

Hi,

Does anyone here use the Eagle PCB cad package.
I used to use a product called "EasyPC" , but it doesn't support tubes, so I've been trying Eagle , along with the "tubes.zip" library.

I have one question.

When I add , for example, an ECC83, it allows be to position both triodes, V1a and V1b , but neglects to put down the heater connections, which I can see in the library are listed. How do I get round this? Can I manually add then to the schematic or layout?

Other than this issue, it looks really promising for my designs.

Thanks in advance!

After you add the tube, click STOP. Then, find the INVOKE button on the left and select it. Then click one of the tube schematic symbols -- this will open a box with the heater option shown. Click it, then click OK, then place the heater.

Eagle can take a while to get used to. Also, please note that you may need to alter the tube foot prints in the library for most common tube sockets.

Edit: Also, both Pete Millett and Tubelab have libraries available with some tubes. And, on the Cadsoft website there is a tubes2 library that may be useful.

Thanks a lot. The interface does seem very similar to EasyPC, and I'm making progress.

Thanks for the help, very much appreciated.
