Hello all,
I have this little amp that I found on a rooftop in midtown NYC (true story). I've found a few discussions about the odd topology used but nothing that spells it out. It seems the output section is often changed to something more traditional. Would someone mind explaining what is going on and the benefits over a regular push-pull output? Thanks! |

Typical '50s PA amplifier - the paraphase inverter was commonly used. For guitar use, I'd rearrange it to 6AU6 feeding a long-tail pair (12AT7 would be preferred, 12AX7 would work).
