My triode input is 200k grid to ground with a 1k stopper. Im installing a usb dac that does not have a dc offset (less then 1mv due to charge pump output). If everything is dc coupled do i just pop in a 20-30k pot (1/10th input rule) and call it a day. I know dc coupling the pot to the amp could change the behavior of the pot due to the 200k resistor, but it should change it much as all since the resistor is so high compaired to the pot, correct?

My only other thought was to clip the 200k resistor and replace it with a 250k pot + a 1meg or less "safety" resistor after it incase the pot wiper lost contact.
