5842 Anyone?

Fellow tubies,
I am gathering stuff for my next amp project (Tubelab SE, because I still don't know enough to fly alone), which requires 5842 tubes.
Various forum posts here suggest they should be available for reasonable prices, but all links so far have ended in 'out of stock' or otherwise frustrating answers.
Since the majority of posts I found are quite dated, I wonder if anybody has any current sources for these tubes.
Or if $35-40 per tube sounds like a reasonable price at this time (which is what I see on eBay here and there).

Seems like these getting a bit harder to come by/more expensive without a real good substitute I am aware of.

I see NOS JAN Raytheon 417A 5842WA on ebay for $17.49 each.
