Sorry for the poor photo above of the diagram but I hope it would help. Based on some formulas i've gathered, I came up with: My operating point for the 5842 driver stage is as follows - Plate voltage of 98.5V current of 20mA and bias of 1.5V Rk = 75 ohm (1.5V / 20mA) Bypass cap is 470uF from C = 159 / (5 * 0.075) = ~ 424uF My operating point for the 45 is as follows - Plate voltage of 275V at 36mA I calculated Rk of 4,166 ohms which will give me a cathode to ground of 150V My B+ is 150V + 275 (plate to cathode) = 425 Grid voltage is -50, so 150V - 50V (grid to cathode) = 100V which is provided by the voltage divider made up of 220K and 68K resistors. Am i on the right track or I completely lost it? Appreciate any help. Thanks!

He has been fooling about with this topology for a while and the last time I heard it, it sounded pretty good compared to some other SET that were there. regards, Douglas __________________ the Tnuctipun will return
