I have some 12K:4R SE OPTs, likely from old radios with EL95. Can this be used as PS choke?
If yes, what to do with the secondary (leave open?) DC resistance of the primary is rather high at 360R but it would probably end-up in a low-wattage monoblock with 30-40ma current draw so voltage drop would't be that horrible. Paralleling the primaries of two transformers would reduce DC resistance but would inductance also be lowered? |

Will work fine - a single-ended transformer is a choke with a secondary winding...
