Dynaco FM1 stereo updating ?
Hi,
I have a FM1 with multiplex. After many years of service it had a leaky can cap. i replaced the can cap with discrete 400V caps. I also replaced several of the resistors (R11, 13, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 32 89 and 90). Now i need to align it. Tubes all tested fine. I have the FM3 manual, is the FM1 alignment the same? The manual says that "i" should be able to listen to the radio at this point. all i get is FM noise.  Any ideas as to why? The voltages on the tube pins were low before, and are now over spec. If it was aligned with low voltage before, would that throw it so far out of alignment?thanks for any suggestions |
