Loud hum in one channel

I went to change a preamp tube in my Sonic Frontiers SFC-1. After changing it I started getting a loud hum after turning the amp on. It only hums in one channel, and that is both with volume control at 0 as well as the mute switch on. I tried changing that tube again as well as swapping the left and right channel tubes. But still have the hum in left channel. Anyone able to help me on this?

Put the original tube back in. Hum was not there. But now left channel is out. And right channel is going in and out. When it is in it seems pretty distorted.

What you mean by it is out? distorted?

It may be a quality issue of the replacement tube.

If not, try to check the pin soldering

Sounds like a bad contact somewhere. Check the connections at the tube socket and at the volume pot in particular.
