alternative for footswitch??

hello everyone
i am from India. i am currently making some guitar effect pedals. but the problem is in india there is uses of dpdt or 3pdt footswitch, so that i have to import from us which will around $20 for each pedal(including shipment charges). is there any alternative??

can i use relay switch instead footswich along with ordinary switch to results the same thing?? are relays generate noise in bypassing switch..........

i am eagerly waiting for the reply.........

Many pedals use a momentary switch which can be small, gentle and low cost. That momentary switch triggers some sort of "relay." That's all I know since I'm not up on that type of switching (via a momentary.)
