NYAL OTL3 Amps
Hi,
Would like to seek the help of members familiar with the NYAL OTL3 amps and 6LF6 tubes. Baught a pair of these amps some months back and have had problems from the start with 1 of the 6LF6 tubes (tube 1 in the circuit). The grey plates of the tube starts to glow orange within mins of switch on. There are 6 of these 6LF6 tubes, 2 pairs of 3 in the circuit. I have tried switching this tube with the other tubes but it still glows while the other 2 tubes are OK. Thinking that the tube was faulty I purhased 6 tubes, but got the same result, each of these tubes also have a glow in any 3 positions. Despite this problem the amp works as there is signal to the speakers but I have always switched off the amp within minutes to avoid any possible damage to the amp/speaker. The amp was biased before it was shipped. Any comments /help would be appreciated. Thanks Rgds, Naidu |
