Hi,
I need extra filaments 10 volts AC taps for 2 310A tubes, I suppose I can use a totally independant small transformer (1 Amp) from the main tranformer, and connect the 2 301A filaments in parallel?
But, does it need to be center tap? cause without the center tap it's much smaller. Not much room in the chassis
Would save me from having to buy a new power transformer.
Thanks

You can balance filament by a pair of 100 Ohm resistors. They are small. So center tap is not necessary.
Hi Wavebourn,
Please forgive my ignorance, how can I do that?
Thanks,
Wire the two resistors in series across the filament lines, ground the center between them. Use a pair of 100 ohm 5% 1W metal oxide or similar.Hi Wavebourn,
