I intended to build a SE 2a3 amp when I came across a tektron 300b amp which I can buy at a moderate price. As it is advertised with a minor mod it can be converted for use with 2a3, 45 and 50s.
Can anyone commet on the quality, specially the transformers? Does this make a nice plataform for experimenting in the future? If it could be bought assembled for about 700 us, would I be better off (for the quality and flexibility) buying parts and assembling myself as I has thought before (Lundahl trafos)? Thanks in advance. Sebastian
