Kypo Electronic - Buffer, Preamp & Amp kits
Just found Kypo Electronics via Ebay:
kypo electronic - tube, valve amplifiers / Röhren-Verstärker They have some nice cheap buffer kits and other things that could be fun to play with. Needless to say I have no association with the company. I searched diyaudio for references to Kypo and found none, so thought I'd flag it up in case anyone os interested. I bought one µTB-201 buffer board for a bit of fun. Just finished putting it in a box this evening and now it's plugged into my kitchen system playing digital radio.
I bought a pile of dented Ampohm PIO caps recently so replaced the onboard output coupling caps with a pair of 10uF PIO and also added a pair of 2.2uF on the input. It definitely works! No hum or tube noise heard from where I'm sitting, but my kitchen speakers are not very sensitive. |
