The good thing is that I cant hear the highest unpleasent harmonics produced from my wife when im soldering and testing audio equipement
Just for interest,
Ambient temp in your area / room can change the inrush current on heaters. Just one of my experiences. Playing with 12AX7 struggled to get Lm reg to start so put in a resistor that only just got it up and running (sun shining on my project) with a shorting relay this was tried with new cold tubes so no residual heat from start. Next morning- would not start had to alter the time and resistance value! My point is the warmer the tube from ambient the easier it is to start.
