Hammond Output Transformer 125D
On the picture band is 100-30000 Hz....in the text - 150 - 15000 Hz :scratch::eek:
I used http://angela.com/hammondoutputtransformer125b.aspx and I measured band 40 - 30000 Hz with the same amplitude...It sounds in PP 6P1P - schem. Leybowitz very not bad!
In the text 150KHZ - 15 KHz...????

Hammond Output Transformer 1608
Hammond Classic Easy Wire Output Transformer 1608A
Where is difference....Only "A" and pay more 34 $??:eek::scratch:
Can everyone explain?
I used in UL PP/about 40 $ - last summer/ 6005 GE schem. Leybowitz and sound is very good!

But I like big transformers from 125..SE :drink::)
They sound very, very not bad!!

I'm not agree....I measured with pulse gen. and scope with different forms amplitude and 4 and 8 ohm load...There is some comertial reason...Why 4 years ago 125FSE /with 150 later 100 - 15000 Hz like now/
was for 300B, 2A3, EL34, 6L6 for homebrew Hi-End!?? Now brand recommends
their expensive output transformers....for Hi fidelity sounding!....300B, 2A3 aren't for Hi End!??:D
125 FSE keeps without problems 20 - more 20000 with 0,5 - 1 - 1,5 v input ampl. and load 8 ohm with 300 B with 80 ma plate current on 2/3 from max. volume.!!! 1608 keeps 30-30000 like brand wrote, I measured, this data are correct.....I wrote all... for people that will DIY their projects with
not expensive and with good quality output transformers. 125 FSE and DSE are very suitable for good projects for 2A3, 300B,.....
