Hi all.
Converted a Cary UL amp to operate in triode mode. After about 2 months of listening I've decided to keep it that way. Currently the output tubes are Siemans/RFT (choice of driver tubes I have available are the TS 6SU7GT, Sylvania VT 229 and RCA/Delco 6SL7's. I like the RCA here. It's the most musical sounding tube), which I like alot but was wondering if anyone has experimented with other EL34's or EL34/driver configurations and found one that worked best in triode mode. I appreciate any advice. Thanks. |
