Actually it finally came to me, I have some 8150 compactron transmitting tubes that have the large plate cap. The spec sheet claims they are 35 watts of plate dissipation, buts that's in ICAS, I'll guess by the size of their plate that they are more like 17-18 watts CCS. Guess you know what my next project might be....

Sweep tube FM transmitter? That would be cool, but I don't see how the plate cap size makes a diff.
