Hello all. I'm new here. I've been building clones of fender amps for a while now, and a friend of mine would like me to build an amp for his record player. Neither of us are exactly audiophiles, but certainly would appreciate what a tube amp would bring to the table. Since I have little experience with reliable schematics, layouts, etc. for HiFi, I was interested to see if anyone could direct me to a really good reliable stereo amp to build. I'm not particularly interested in trying to tackle the preamp. Thanks in advance.
Tubelab knows his business...err... I meant to say his hobby (not much of a business ) . Check out his web page.
I thought about that idea some time ago. This forum lacks in that department.we really need a sticky on this subject
Don't forget the "Red Light District" amp!
I've been enjoying mine for a couple months now.
I recommend RDL as well. Great amp, well documented design, good sound. Quite easy.
