just one tube preamp or driver

hi
It s just to report my last preamp setup with good result.

just one 6sn7, supply 300 volt, bias~5ma

on the plate self bias(lnd150+irf820) from Gary Pimm with mu output option

take output on mu with 4.7uF solen and 220k to ground

185 volt on 6sn7 plate

gain=20
zout < 500 ohm
very linear easy to go 40 or 50 volt peak to peak (for a se amp driver)
very good sound

any comments or similar solutions are welcome

I forget to say preamp fc -3db=200Khz and with power amp passlab aleph 3

The Russian novals will stomp and dance on the grave of the 6SN7. Used the 6SN7 for years. Nobody can go back to the 6SN7 after listening to a 6N1P or 6N6P.
If you want to sleep in front of your stereo take the 6SN7.
If you want dynamics, drama, sweat, blood, action, speed, serious bass slam and mighty authority than go for the Russian novals.
