Gents,
Need some help/advice..... Have just received a set of above tube amps and was really happy until i noticed a slight hum from both amps (both of them) and the speakers. At normal listing level it is not noticable, but I know it is there which is a pain... Without the tubes there is only a very very slight hum from the amps (transformers i assume) which increase graduently as i install the tubes. Any ideas on what i can do to overcome this issue? Previous owner claims the amps have benn running for approx. 100 hours. Brgds Peter |

Hi, this is usually a grounding problem that is the amp has aged and
ground wires attached by eyelets with screws to chasis and similar wiring and solder joints.Inspect them carefully for bad joints and loose parts. Hope this helps. |
