Default i've got these tubes here, and i don't know what to do with them

anyways, i got the old tube radio from my uncle. unfortunately, he doesn't have the power transformer that came with it originally, so it's useless. i did however, steal the tubes out of it. is there anyone here that could tell me what these do and what's the best use for them?

GBE6
6DTB
6BA6 (2 of these)
6AL5
6EU7

they're all made by magnavox

thanks for any help you can give me

Hi,

6BE6
6DT8

Just thought I'd correct the references.

Yes, they're all clearly radio tubes, only the 6DT8 ans 6EU7 are possibly of any use in audio.

The typical use of your tubes can be read from the datasheets here:

DUNCAN AMPS

Cheers,

The 6EU7 could be used in a Magnavox EL84/6BQ5 clone. But you'll need 2.

Haven't heard this amp, though some people seem to think it's pretty good. But I wouldn't build an amp design based upon having one suitable tube.

Sorry, they are nearly useless. And if you did want to use them, you would need a power transformer anyway!

If you want to build a simple cheap valve amp try http://www.dogstar.dantimax.dk/tubestuf/miniblok.htm

Of course if you are building a guitar amp, two words: Fender champ. Download the circuit, get the parts, and go for it.
