There are arguments about the tone of the JJs, like about everything else in music electronics. Some guys will get in an uproar that it isn't a "real 6v6." Some day I'll sit down with some and dig through the specs and maybe develop an opinion other than, "my customers like the sound and don't come back too soon."

the jj 6v6 i've seen has plate structure not like any that ive seen in 6V6GT's of times past...

next time i meet one i'll put higher plate voltage and see what happens....

Hey All,

Doesn't it seem likely that the half voltage axiom is that using the center tap and one end tap gives you half of B+? What I wonder is in drawing from one end tap and the center tap does that unbalance the secondary?
