Fixed short in a 45

I tried the good ol light tapping with the palm of my hand, and that worked for a while, the the tube shorted again.

The filament fused to the grid, not good :eek:..

To no avail I could not get it to work. Then I put it in a spare tube tester and gradually increased the voltage on the filament, then shazam... the short was released and the tube tests at 85% in the good range.
I figured what do I have to lose since the tube was not working in the first place. Now amp works fine again.

For how long, no idea, just watching and listening.:rolleyes:
