What tube is this?

I cant seem to figure out what tube this is.
It has the philips etching code, but the top row (wich indicates tube type) is unreadable.

It looks like an EF80 but the inner cunstruction is twice the size.

What is the pinout of the tube? That would make it easier to identify the mystery tube.

Nevermind, after going through a lot of bags of tubes, I noticed the similarity to the ECH84/ECH83 type. I labelled it ECH84 and put it away. I was hoping for it to be an EF type wich i didnt know yet..

It looks like one of the ECH types, my first guess would be the ubiquitous ECH81.

Might also be EBF89, or EBF80. The silvering suggests not Philips own manufacture, but a lookalike from someone like Ei or BEL.

i have a valvo EBF89 but seems not that. it has no silvering btw.
what exactly is it? i never found something online. is it sputtered off grids or off the gauze shield?

Some German EBF89 look quite different, as they have a solid grey screen. I think of them as a Siemens type, but I may be wrong. The one you have looks like a modified Philips type. I am not sure where the silvering comes from, maybe cathode activation? I don't think it is gettering, as that is at the top as usual.

The EBF types have 2 holes in the screen while this tube, as the other ECH types i have, have 4 holes.

Look through the holes and see if the top structure is a triode or one or two diodes. If its a triode then you have ECH81, ECH83 or ECH84. The '81 is by far the most common.
